Car To Be Branded
Progress
For the logo, I tried to match the original in attitude but use linework to create a sense of speed and precision. After a more oval shape was decided I wrapped the tail under the griffon to give a circular pattern - a sense of infinite potential that you get while in a sports car.

Challenges
This was an exciting project that came with it’s own learning curve and opportunity for growth. I was given the original logo design to modify, an example of the width of the sill engraving, and the owner used AI prompts to showcase his idea.
The difficulty lay in the specification - the griffon of the logo went through a few stylized redesigns until certain features were settled on - retain the ear tips, add detail in the wings, and create an empty space at the bottom. Clear communication of what stage I was in was critical, and transposing a clear idea from raster to vector by hand was something I had never done before, but was very pleased with in the end.
The second difficulty was in the spirit of disappointment. After the project was completed the manufacturer stopped allowing engraving. It was an important lesson as sometimes your work is never shown, but still important for your growth as an artist.
