Brief
EQSi, an electrical contracting company, wanted apparel for both practical workwear and safety clothing as well as employee appreciation pieces. Standard and hi-visibilty shirts, branded hats, tumblers, stickers, hot-branded leather tags, jackets, and trucker-style jean jackets were decided on.

Process
The logo was simple and easily fit on anything that was custom. I inverted the blacks of the logo when necessary and tried to match the copper colours with browns and greys.
For the apparel like shirts and hats, I chose fabric that was durable enough to withstand the abuse of field work while still breathable so sweat wouldn’t make it uncomfortable. “Trucker” hats were selected based on employee preference, and tumblers were chosen because a lot of people drank coffee.

Challenges
A unique challenge was the coordination between the different vendors of all the products. The owner of EQSi personally knew a connection with one of the largest custom-branding apparel companies, but my communication was directed through a third party. There was a lot of debate over what the best branded items to create were, and some of the orders were printed incorrectly. Three different vendors were used, and coordinating between them had to be clear and precise.
To meet all these challenges and deliver everything accurately, a compromise was made on the delivery expectations to account for quality, re-works, and everything exactly as requested. With expectations set, information sent to vendors promptly, and dedicated shipping, everything was completed. When all the final products were assembled and distributed, everyone was happy with the outcome
